Class Rules & Motto

Published by suzannegarverick

Each morning, when your child signs, he/she is agreeing to follow our class motto which is “Be nice. Work hard.” These simple sentences sum up my expectations for my students, and I think they are easy for the students to understand as well.

As a class, we came up with our rules after a discussion about why we need rules. They are as follows:

1.) Listen and follow directions.

2. Raise my hand and wait for the teacher if I need anything.

3.) Keep my hands, feet, objects, and unkind words to myself.

4.) Work and do my best at all times.

A daily conduct grade is sent home in the homework folder each day.

E= excellent ( if there is a star, that means behavior was above excellent and they earned a Superstar!)

S= Satisfactory

N= Needs improvement

U= Unsatiscfactory

Consequences

S= 5 minutes of time out during recess

N= 15 minutes of time out during recess/note sent home

U= phone call home/ no recess the following day

Rewards!

Children who remain on E all week will receive a special treat on Friday.
